Grenada

Hello Angels,

After Ibiza, our next stop was Grenada!

Our trip from Ibiza to Grenada was spent on the ferry back to the mainland and then a looooong bus trip.

We got to the hotel at around 9pm and were all exhausted from the drive we hit the sacks straight away

Apparently Grenada is the word for Pomegranate so all we saw everywhere was pomegranates. Grenada tiles, Grenada poles, Grenada patterns, Grenada fruits. You get the gist.

Our full day in Grenada started with a two hour walking tour around the city centre to see the Albaicin and royal chapel.

We got to have time to ourselves so we went to a bar that had super tapas. Where you order a drink and they bring out free food to go with it!!

Finally we had a beautiful sunny day and we decided to spend the day by the poolside.

I started to feel a little ill so I slept for most of the afternoon and when I woke up it was thunder storming. Weird weather in Grenada.

We didn’t go out for dinner, instead got an included dinner at the hotel.

This was the last night with half of our tour group who were continuing Spain and the first night with the new half of our tour group who were going to Morocco with us.

It was a little awkward meeting everyone because both groups had established friend groups and knew each other.

We had to wake up at 6am the next morning to get the bus and then ferry to Morocco so we didn’t stay out long.

We all said our goodbyes and went to bed.

The next morning I was waiting at the bus and discovered one of the girls had gotten too drunk the night before and split her chin open when she fell over in the bathroom.

Contiki is crazy.

Lots of love,
